When I first seen Kelvin Crosby, it was on TikTok, and it was an ad for his light up, cane, and him telling his story about being hit by cars, multiple times, and that this came changed his life. Since he was born, a genetic condition called Usher syndrome type II has affected Crosby’s hearing and vision. Crosby was born hard of hearing and became legally blind by the time he turned 19. He tried to take his own life 12 times as he searched for meaning in his difficult life. Then, he heard a voice.Crosby, now 36, remembers hearing God’s voice say, “I have a plan for you,” when Crosby felt like he couldn’t live with his condition anymore.Known for his viral social media presence on TikTok as the “DeafBlind Potter,” Crosby hopes to change thousands of lives with a high-visibility cane he invented called the See Me Cane. The cane lights up to make visually impaired people more visible when traveling in low-light conditions.

Stephanie and I met Ang And on orthodox Way, I saw her viral video, and I stumbled upon one of her TikTok lives, where I reached out to her, and invited her on the show. Stephanie can sometimes be timid and goofy, but overall is one strong individual. Stephanie is someone who has struggled with her weight in her life, but when you look at her, you see beauty, you see strength, and hard-working. Some of the things that she suffers from are Polycystic ovary syndrome, she had a tumor grow underneath her arm, a blood clot in her leg, and more. Some of the other subject matters that we discuss mental health, exercise, poor treatment while being in the hospital, and other things as well.

This episode was long overdue, I get to sit down and interview my close friend, Lori's mother. For those who don't remember, in episode 10 I did an episode on my friend, Lori's passing, and our close relationship, throughout the years of this podcast's existence, I've wanted to get Lori's parents on the show, and we finally made it happen. Lori's mom, Angel, and I reminisce on the times, Lori was alive, our friendship, Lori's health, and even the day she passed. This episode was very emotional, impersonal for me. I'm so proud of Angel and happy for her and her family that things are starting to look up after this tragedy. Angel even talks about her own health issues, her husband's, and the roller coaster of emotions that have happened since Lori's passing.

Our next guest is Ethan Bach, and I feel we hit it off pretty quickly, I was very grateful for his transparency in his story. History includes dealing with a brain Tumor disability, alcohol, weed, and porn addictions, severe mental health issues (Schizoaffective, and more. We discussed many things like being in a psych ward, him struggling with his psychosis and delusions, and how he fights for his sanity. These days he's working on his nonprofit, and his memoir so that he can help people like him and give the information he lacked when dealing with his issues.

Craig Moreau was an emotionally out of control teen, he had his battles with drugs and alcohol. That led him to battling a decade long viscious drug and alcohol addiction that landed him in the revolving doors of jails, rehabs, and prison. He was lucky enough to heal himself, pull himself out of the depths of hell, and now he has the blueprint on how to change your life. First and foremost, he believes you must heal yourself, which I believe, is a very noble, incorrect way of starting your mission. He has a raw, and gritty way in how he speaks, but it's real, and authentic.

On April 3, 1996, Anthony Bryan was diagnosed with a benign Astrocytoma brain tumor and had to undergo a craniotomy operation to remove it. He was six years old at the time. Post survey it became evident that he had suffered a stroke during surgery which resulted in left-sided hemiplegia and left-sided field defect. At the hospital, doctors noticed his face had dropped on one side and he couldn’t clench his fist or walk on his left leg. This is only the beginning of the story, and it gets worse, but then it gets much better. Anthony's perseverance level is so high in the story, it's amazing how much he's had to endure, and even though there were some very dark days, he found his way through, and found his purpose in life. In 2015 his biggest achievement was being selected to represent England at the Cerebral Palsy World Games. He won two gold medals.

Love language

Paul Zolman is our next guest, and he was a person. I was really happy to talk to you for many reasons, especially how he was able to take his childhood traumas, and turn them into fuel, and eventually, a career where he became a best-selling author, and even more importantly broke the chains of his families, negative traits. He grew up in a family of abuse, and neglect, and physical touch became his preferred love style, only because of the regularity. He could almost count on it. It was consistent. He came to think that was the way to express love. Paul is another example of an individual who took his past traumas, and pain and turned it into something miraculous, and beautiful. Paul has found a new way to demonstrate the principles of the love language. The conversation goes pretty deep into detail on how we came up with us, and what this love language could do for you.

The conqueror of pain

This episode is with my friend Ayda, we met on Facebook, at a time when I think we both needed each other, and I'm delighted we have. She suffers from the condition Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, this disease may have a silly name, but by no means, is it a laughing matter. We discuss how the condition has slowly impaired her mobility and has taken her life in a different direction, one she was unprepared for. We discuss the mental health issues that stemmed from this condition, one in which is how independent she used to be, and now has to rely on a caregiver, and how that's a struggle mentally for her daily. But as I've told her many times, she is very powerful and wise, and her resiliency is unmatchable. I've seen Ayda cry, one day, and the next day smile, and quickly pull herself out of her depression, the next. She continues to use her platforms to spread awareness about her rare condition, so that they can find a cure, or some remedies to mitigate the problems that she and so many others have.
